School Meal Program
The White Pine County School District and Chartwells (the largest K-12 public school food service management company in the United States) began our partnership with the school year 2015-16. Our joint goal is to provide the best possible food service program to the District’s students, faculty, staff, and community. In this endeavor, under the direction of the WPCSD School Board and Administration, the Nutrition Services Department offers the following programs:
Elementary Breakfast & Lunch Program
Secondary Breakfast & Lunch Program
Secondary Student A la Carte Program
District & Community Catering
The Nutrition Program prioritizes providing safe and healthy meals to students. Our program is based on both USDA & NDA approved nutritional guidelines with a focus on meals (including made-from-scratch entrees) that are both healthy and appetizing to students.
Students at David E. Norman and McGill Elementary Schools will have a choice of two different entrees to choose from daily; while students at White Pine Middle and White Pine High Schools will have a choice of at least five different entrées offered daily.
