Technology

The WPCSD believes that technology is an important part of 21st Century learning.  While technology will never replace great learning experiences, it can enhance and add value to classroom and home learning.

The district utilizes Google as its primary learning platform.  Each student has an email address, allowing access to the Google suite under the WPCSD domain.  Most teachers have a Google classroom, where assignments are posted and can also be turned in.  Students also have an Infinite Campus account, allowing them access to their attendance, demographic profile, grades, course of study, and more.  Parents also have access to Infinite Campus and we urge avid use of this platform.  (Contact your school if you don't know how to log in.)

Students can access these learning platforms through the single sign on device of Clever (to which there is a link on the navigation bar above).

The district also utilizes Family Zone as a filtering service.  While technology is an incredibly valuable instructional tool, we also want to do what we can to filter our students' access to inappropriate content.  If you have concerns about inappropriate sites being accessed, please contact your school's principal or Roman or KL immediately.

Nearly every classroom in grades 6-12 has a full set of chromebooks, which are on a regular replacement cycle every three years.

The district contracts with Business Continuity Technologies as its technology consultant.  On the ground support is provided by Roman Mariani, KL Brandis, and Karla Dolezal.
